At Jumping Indoor Maastricht, the newly formed combination Harrie Smolders and Hocus Pocus de Muze (by Tinka’s Boy) showed their great potential by finishing second in their first outing at 1.40m-level. In the same class, Michel Hendrix became third with Elco Van Hof Ter Naillen (f. Elvis Ter Putte). Harrie Smolders placed himself with Zinius (f. Nabab de Rêve) as well. The duo became third in a 1.50m-class.
In the GP, the main role was reserved for Pieter Clemens and Icarus. Due to a very selective first round, only seven riders could qualify for the jump-off. Among them was Pieter Clemens who eventually became ex-aequo fifth with the son of Querlybet Hero. Some more Querlybet Hero in Lier last weekend, where American rider Alec Lawler won a 1.40m-class with Hendrik 41.
Triomphe de Muze
A not so regular name in this overview is Triomphe de Muze. The son of Chin Chin out of mare by Galoubet A (family of Fragance de Chalus) is serving as a breeding stallion in The Netherlands already for quite some time and his offspring impressed last weekend. Norwegian rider Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer became eight in the GP of Kronenberg with Cendy VDP (f. Triomphe de Muze) and Spanish rider Xavier Cebria won the GP1* of Barcelona with Genesis van de Neerheide (f. Triomphe de Muze).
Bamako de Muze
The progeny of Bamako de Muze stood in the spotlight as well last weekend. In French St Lô, there was a third place in the GP2* for Aymeric de Ponnat and Elize (f. Bamako de Muze). Ilena de Mariposa (f. Berlin), niece to our stallion Matisse de Mariposa, finished at the eight place in the same GP, ridden by Felicie Bertrand. Cacacha van het Schaeck (f. Bamako de Muze) and Max Sebrechts also performed excellently at the GP-level and became fifth in Lier (1.45m). In the classes for five- and six-year-old horses, Odile Gierech (Geisha des Sequoïas) and Elisa Strubbe (Mika vd Wellington) showed their potential.
Nabab de Rêve
Impossible to write a news overview without mentioning Nabab de Rêve. Notwithstanding his deceit in 2015, he is still omnipresent in the international jumping scene. Take his son Kaiser van het Lambroeck for example, who is serving as a breeding stallion at Stal de Muze and who became third a 1.40m-class in Lier with Cassio Rivetti. Lady Optima and Max Sebrechts, as well as Thomas De Wit and Looping jumped a double clear round in the final for seven-year-olds in Lier. Eventually, they became second respectively seventh. In Keysoe, Michael Duffy with Be Reverent (five-year-olds) and Laura Johnson with Euphoria HST (six-year-olds) also realised a round with no jumping faults.
Young horses
Some more remarkable results in the five- and six-year-old classes in Kronenberg thanks to Evita De Wijnendale Z (f. Elvis Ter Putte) with Aymeric Bray, Hulde G (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles) with Daan van Geel, Hayley (f. Glock’s London, ex-Carembar de Muze) with Omer Karaevli and Houdini van de Dijk (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles) with Abdel Said.
Ann Carton-Grootjans and Malissa de Muze (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles, half-sister to our stallions Fantomas de Muze and Lector vd Bisschop) jumped into the picture in Lier, as did Kirsten Rombouts with Minerva de Kalvarie (f. Elvis Ter Putte), Jessica Mendoza with I-Cap CL Z (f. I’m Special de Muze) and Anneliese Prag with Elle Flip de Muze Z (f. Elvis Ter Putte).
Finally, a double clear round was realised by Jean Vincent Baracand in Chazey-sur-Ain with Lipgloss (f. Malito de Rêve) and in Keysoe by Katie Pytches and Newton DB (f. I’m Special de Muze).
